My research focuses on the embodied biocultural diversity of the ancient populations in the Isthmo-Colombian Area, particularly evidence of infectious disease and artificial cranial modification. I also continue be interested in human malaria paleoepidemiology in the Old and New World. I have conducted fieldwork at sites in North and South America, the Near East, and Africa.
